Swanner Wedding

On October 24, 2025, the Swanner’s celebrated their wedding day at The Grand View surrounded by 60 of their closest family and friends. Their celebration was the perfect blend of timeless elegance and fun personal touches, creating a romantic atmosphere that carried throughout the entire evening.

With a classic black and white color palette accented by soft blush pinks and touches of gold, every detail of the day felt intentional, intimate, and beautifully styled. From their outdoor ceremony on the lawn to their draped ballroom reception filled with candlelight and laughter, the Swanners created a wedding experience their guests will remember for years to come.

A Romantic Outdoor Ceremony on the Lawn

The evening began with a heartfelt ceremony on The Grand View’s back lawn. Surrounded by greenery and soft natural light, guests gathered as the couple exchanged vows in an intimate outdoor setting.

White florals and candle-lined aisles created a romantic walkway leading to the ceremony space, while live music from Ambient Strings added an elegant and emotional atmosphere as guests arrived and throughout the ceremony.

As the couple walked back down the aisle together as newlyweds, guests celebrated with cheers and flower petals, marking the beginning of an unforgettable evening.

The outdoor ceremony allowed guests to enjoy the beauty of the property while setting the tone for the elegant celebration ahead.

Cocktail Hour in The Lookout

Following the ceremony, guests made their way to The Lookout for cocktail hour while the couple captured photos with their wedding party.

Unlike many weddings where couples miss cocktail hour, the Swanner’s chose to join their guests once photos wrapped, allowing them to mingle, celebrate, and truly enjoy the moment with family and friends before the reception began.

Guests enjoyed drinks, conversation, and views of the property as everyone transitioned into the next part of the evening.

A Timeless Draped Ballroom Reception

As guests entered the ballroom, they were welcomed into a beautifully transformed space draped in soft white fabric that created a warm, intimate environment.

The reception design featured:

  • A classic black and white color palette

  • Soft pink floral accents

  • Elegant gold details

  • Candlelit tables that added warmth throughout the room

Large windows overlooking the lawn provided a stunning backdrop while the candlelight and floral arrangements created a romantic glow across the ballroom.

The couple also featured a custom dance floor with their monogram, giving the reception space a personalized touch and serving as the center of the celebration throughout the evening.

Unique Experiences for Guests

One of the most memorable aspects of the Swanner’s wedding was the number of interactive experiences they included for their guests.

Custom Ice Sculpture

A custom ice sculpture featuring the couple’s monogram served as both a statement piece and an interactive drink experience. Guests could pour their drinks through the sculpture, creating a fun and memorable moment that quickly became a conversation piece during the reception.

Champagne Tower

The couple also included a classic champagne tower pour, creating a beautiful and celebratory moment as they kicked off the reception festivities.

Caketini Bar

Instead of a traditional dessert service, the couple treated guests to a Caketini bar where guests could create their own dessert combination. Guests selected their cake flavor, frosting, and toppings before having it served in a martini glass a unique and fun twist that everyone loved.

Late Night Snack Cart

As the night continued and the dance floor filled up, a late-night snack cart appeared to keep guests energized and ready to continue celebrating.

These thoughtful touches helped create a wedding that felt both elevated and incredibly fun for everyone in attendance.

A Celebration Filled with Energy

As the reception continued, the energy in the room grew. Guests gathered around the dance floor to celebrate with the couple, creating a lively and joyful atmosphere.

One of the most entertaining moments of the night was the t-shirt toss, which had guests cheering and laughing as the couple tossed shirts into the crowd.

Between the music, dancing, and interactive experiences, the reception was the perfect balance of elegance and celebration.

A Perfect Ending to an Incredible Day

From the emotional ceremony to the unforgettable reception, the Swanner’s wedding at The Grand View was a beautiful reflection of their love story and personalities.

Their thoughtful details, timeless design, and focus on creating a fun experience for their guests made the entire day feel both intimate and unforgettable.

We were honored to host such a meaningful celebration and help bring their vision to life.

How The Space Was Used

One of the things couples love most about The Grand View is the ability to host every part of their wedding day in one location. The Swanners thoughtfully used multiple spaces throughout the venue to create a seamless flow for their ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception.

Outdoor Ceremony on the Back Lawn

The couple chose to say their vows on our back lawn encased in trees, creating a naturally beautiful setting for their ceremony.

White garden chairs were arranged in a classic ceremony layout facing a softly draped altar accented with florals. Elegant floral arrangements lined the aisle and altar space, creating a romantic focal point for the couple as they exchanged vows. Live musicians performed throughout the ceremony, adding an extra layer of emotion and elegance to the moment.

The tree backdrop, soft draping, and floral accents made the ceremony feel timeless and intimate while allowing guests to enjoy the natural scenery surrounding the property.

Cocktail Hour in The Lookout

Following the ceremony, guests made their way upstairs to The Lookout for cocktail hour.

The Lookout offered a relaxed lounge-style atmosphere where guests could mingle, enjoy drinks, and take in the views while the couple finished photos with their wedding party. Cocktail tables were arranged throughout the space to encourage conversation and movement while maintaining an open, comfortable layout.

Hosting cocktail hour in a separate space allowed the ballroom to be fully transformed for the reception while guests enjoyed a smooth transition between events.

Ballroom Reception

For the reception, guests moved into the ballroom which had been fully draped to create an intimate and romantic atmosphere. The soft white draping transformed the space and highlighted the couple’s elegant black-and-white design palette with touches of pink and gold.

Round guest tables were arranged around a central dance floor, allowing everyone to easily gather and celebrate throughout the evening. The sweetheart table was positioned as a focal point of the room, framed by candles and floral accents.

Additional reception elements included:

• A DJ setup near the dance floor to keep the energy high all evening
• A designated cake table and welcome display near the entrance
• A bar setup conveniently placed for guest access without interrupting the dance floor or dining space

This layout created the perfect balance between an elegant dinner setting and an open space for dancing and celebration.

With the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all hosted on-site, the Swanner’s wedding day flowed effortlessly from one moment to the next allowing the couple and their guests to fully enjoy every part of the celebration.
